Get Expert Advice At The Bayer Garden Roadshow

25th May 06

Local gardeners will get the chance to pick the brains of some of the UK’s leading gardening experts, when the Bayer Garden Roadshow visits the Holker Garden Festival at Holker Hall & Gardens in Cark-in-Cartmel from 2-4 June.

Martin Fish, experienced gardening presenter and writer for Gardener’s World magazine and Garden News, will host the Roadshow. Joining him will be Peter Blackburne-Maze, Royal Horticultural Society judge and regular contributor to Country Life and The Kitchen Garden magazine; Geoff Stebbings, who trained at Kew Gardens and is now a freelance writer for a number of gardening titles and Steve Ott, editor of The Kitchen Garden magazine.

From creating spectacular hanging baskets to growing the perfect lawn, gardeners of all levels will receive specialist advice to help them create the garden of their dreams.

At the Roadshow, visitors will be welcome to quiz the panel on any gardening problems and bring along cuttings, for on-the-spot help in identifying pests and diseases.

Martin and his team will also perform a series of live demonstrations showing how best to care for your plants with products from the Bayer Garden range. They will answer questions on a variety of gardening topics, from feeding and planting, to lawncare, weed and pest control and rose care.

“It doesn’t matter what level of gardening experience visitors have, there’s always something new to learn,” says Martin Fish, “We’ve got a brilliant line up for the panel of experts, and every visitor who takes part in the roadshow and asks the team a question will be rewarded with a Bayer Garden goody bag!”
